IndiGo, India’s preferred airline, has announced the commencement of tri-weekly direct flights between Dubai and Surat from February 23, 2024. This strategic addition to the 6E network aims to facilitate seamless travel for both tourists and business travelers, fostering bilateral economic growth and enhancing relations between India and the UAE.
Surat, renowned for its thriving textile and diamond industries, becomes the second city in Gujarat to enjoy direct connectivity to Dubai through IndiGo. Additionally, starting February 22, 2024, the Hyderabad-Dubai route will witness additional frequencies.
Vinay Malhotra, Head of Global Sales at IndiGo, expressed delight in introducing direct connectivity between Dubai and Surat, emphasizing the significance of connecting two major commercial and economic hubs. With this expansion, IndiGo now operates 108 direct flights weekly to Dubai from 13 cities in India, contributing to trade opportunities and economic development in both regions.
