Korea Tourism Organization Showcases New Edu Tour Support Program 2025 in Pune

The Korea Tourism Organization (KTO) successfully hosted the Korea Edu Tour Roadshow in Pune on April 17, 2025, reaffirming its commitment to Indian student travel and showcasing key programs designed to further boost student tourism to South Korea. The event witnessed the participation of around 130 distinguished individuals, including Principals, Chairpersons, Directors, and Career Counsellors from leading schools and universities.

Mr. Myong Kil Yun, Regional Director – India & SAARC Countries, Korea Tourism Organization (KTO), stated: “South Korea continues to grow in popularity among Indian travellers. At KTO, our mission is to position Korea as a premier global destination—not only for leisure but increasingly for meaningful and enriching educational journeys. Korea offers a safe, modern, and inspiring environment, with a globally acclaimed education system, world-class universities, and excellent infrastructure. It is a destination where students can gain knowledge, build confidence, and create unforgettable life experiences. To support this vision, the KTO’s Educational Tour Support Plan is designed to make Korea more accessible and rewarding for Indian schools. Whether it’s cultural immersion, academic exposure, or logistical assistance, we’re here to support every step of the journey.”

In addition to the ongoing Korea Edu Tour Support Program, the Korea Tourism Organization (KTO) is proud to introduce the Edu Tour Support Program 2025—a special initiative aimed at recognizing and supporting schools that actively promote South Korea as a preferred educational travel destination.

This enhanced program is designed to provide meaningful, enriching, and affordable learning journeys for student groups by offering a range of practical benefits. These include a visa fee waiver for middle and high school students, visa service charge reimbursements for designated travel agencies handling group visas, and complimentary souvenirs for student participants—ensuring a warm and memorable welcome in Korea. Additionally, schools bringing a group of 20 or more students are eligible for flight reimbursement for a designated school representative or coordinator, helping to ease travel costs and planning.

Whether it’s for cultural immersion, academic exploration, or international collaboration, the Edu Tour Support Program 2025 is KTO’s commitment to making Korea a more accessible, exciting, and educational destination for the students of today and the global leaders of tomorrow.
