Accor, a world-leading hospitality group, has joined hands with Hemkunt Foundation, an NGO with a celebrated history of over 11 years of relentless work towards relief projects, to provide free ambulance service as part of Covid relief and rehabilitation support measures. With aim to support the efforts conducted by Hemkunt Foundation, Accor has provided two TYPE B Ambulances for the transport of non-emergent patients.
The Ambulance Flag off ceremony took place on the evening of 22nd November 2021, at ibis Gurgaon Golf Course Road. Hosted by Marc Descrozaille, COO, India, Middle East & Africa for Accor and attended by Mr. Puneet Dhawan, Senior Vice President – Operations, Accor India and South Asia, and Mr. Irinder Singh Ahluwalia, the Founder of Hemkunt Foundation, who also addressed the audience at the ceremony.
Harteerath Singh, Community Development Director – Hemkunt Foundation shared “As Hemkunt Foundation celebrates its 11 years in the social development sector, we feel there is a need to do much more in the next decade. Our goal is to bring change to 1 crore lives through serving people especially in the field of Healthcare with the support of our partners like Accor, who have the shared vision of supporting the community.”

Hemkunt Foundation’s Corona Relief and Rehabilitation Support is for informal workers and the underprivileged sections of society. As a part of their interventions – the foundation has contributed immensely through setting up oxygen centres across 21 states of the nation impacting more than 20 lakh lives, in addition to providing oxygen support they have also generated employment, providing food and livelihood to the marginalised.
Hemkunt Foundation in addition to their existing helpline number, will create another helpline number dedicated to Ambulance support for patients in need. These ambulances will be maintained by the NGO and will serve through-out Delhi-NCR, free of cost. They will be used as Mobile medical units post pandemic to provide basic medical care to people coming from underprivileged sections of society. There will be 3 parking locations for the ambulance: Gurgaon, Noida, and Delhi.
