Manoj Sinha, the lieutenant governor of Jammu and Kashmir, reported that following the recent G20 working group meeting in Srinagar, the number of international visitors visiting the area rose by 59%. According to him, the meeting not only improved political connections but also created new opportunities for the travel industry.
At the Independence Day event held at Bakshi Stadium in Srinagar, Sinha remarked that people have begun a new path of peace, love, and stability that would pave the way for growth and a prosperous future. Hundreds of people attended the event in the renovated stadium, including government officials whose attendance was required.
“The recent G20 working group conference, the continuing Amarnath yatra, and the first Muharram procession in 30 years illustrate the shift in the local environment. Following the G-20 summit, foreign visitor arrivals rose by 59% in comparison to the previous few years. Separatism and terrorism are a cancer for society that must be eradicated, said Sinha, adding that foreign devotees also took part in the Amarnath yatra.
