Akasa Air adds Gorakhpur as the 23rd destination to its expanding network

Akasa Air, India’s fastest-growing airline, announced the addition of Gorakhpur as the 23rd destination to its network with direct connectivity to and from Delhi and Bengaluru, starting May 29, 2024. Akasa Air is the only airline to provide daily flights between Bengaluru and Gorakhpur. With this launch, the airline strengthens its presence in Uttar Pradesh, with Gorakhpur being the fifth destination in the state, after Lucknow, Varanasi, Ayodhya and Prayagraj.  Travellers can book flights on Akasa Air’s website www.akasaair.com, Android and iOS app or through multiple leading travel agents.

Renowned for its handloom and small-scale industries, Gorakhpur is a major industrial hub in Uttar Pradesh. With significant focus to promote growth in the region, including progressing infrastructure development, the city is witnessing an uptick in travellers. The launch of daily flights from Delhi and Bengaluru to Gorakhpur will further augment economic activity in the region and provide enhanced connectivity options to travellers.
