In order to grow the state’s tourist industry, Assam’s Minister of tourist Jayanta Malla Baruah said on Tuesday that the government will introduce a new tourism act during the next state assembly session.
“The state administration has launched numerous measures to expand the state’s tourism industry, and last year saw a sharp increase in the number of visitors to the state. In the next state assembly session, our government will introduce a new tourism act, according to Jayanta Malla Baruah.
Assam reported 83,81,953 domestic tourist foot traffic and 9,009 foreign tourist foot traffic in 2022, according to state government data.
