EaseMyTrip shares increase by 9 per cent on the partnership with World Padel League

After partnering with the World Padel League (WPL) 2023, Easy Trip Planners’ stock price increased by more than 8 per cent. At its intraday high of 46.80 per share on the BSE, the stock price increased by as much as 8.6 per cent.

On June 9, Easy Trip Planners—the company behind EaseMyTrip—announced that it has joined forces with the World Padel League 2023 as its official travel partner.

Players, officials, and spectators attending the eagerly awaited World Padel League will have access to comprehensive travel solutions thanks to this new partnership between EaseMyTrip and the WPL. The significant branding tool that EaseMyTrip shows throughout the competition is one of the partnership’s standout features, which the business claimed in an exchange filing. Rikant Pittie, the company’s co-founder, said the alliance will enable it to reach a larger group of sports fans. “We have been an active sports marketer and wish to show complete support in this tournament and more to come,’’ he added.

Easy Trip Planners had reported a 33.5 per cent rise in its consolidated net profit for the quarter ended March 2023 at 31.15 crore as compared to 23.34 crore in the year-ago quarter.

Its consolidated revenue from operations in Q4FY23 jumped 91.5 per cent to 116.6 crore from 60.9 crore, YoY. The company’s air segment booking grew 1.6x during the quarter, while hotel night bookings witnessed a jump of 2.2x.

For FY23, EaseMyTrip’s net profit rose 26.6 per cent to 134.1 crore from 105.9 crore in FY22.
