The prestigious Hospitality Investment Conference South Asia (HICSA 2023) recently came to a successful conclusion, leaving delegates inspired and full of hope. The gathering attracted a record-breaking number of attendees, including hoteliers from both institutional and small-scale backgrounds. In addition to providing excellent information and a distinguished speaker lineup, HICSA 2023 also oozed a contagious enthusiasm that had a lasting impression.
Manav Thadani, the founder and chairman of Hotelivate, the organisation that organised the HICSA event, elaborated on the event’s success when asked about its success, saying, “HICSA 2023 was quite amazing both for its content, quality of speakers, and most amazing, the large number of hotel owners, both institutional and small owners, that attended this event. We had a nearly record-breaking number of participation, and I believe the majority of delegates considered the conference to be upbeat and optimistic.”
Since the past 17 years, HICSA has been held in Mumbai or Delhi. However, since this was the first time HICSA was held in Bengaluru, the 18th edition of HICSA experienced a significant change. “We bet on Bengaluru, and it worked out. We conducted a live audience poll during the HICSA event in Mumbai’s Grand Hyatt in 2022, and Bengaluru won. While some doubters attempted to persuade us otherwise, we remained steadfast and concentrated on producing an event that was more inventive and exciting than before,” added Thadani.
After an enormously successful conclusion to the event, Thadani has already begun making preparations for the 19th iteration of HICSA. HICSA 2024 will once again be held in Bengaluru, he said in an exclusive disclosure, guaranteeing yet another fantastic event. When discussing HICSA 2024 with Hospitality Biz, Thadni expressed his delight by saying, “At this point, HICSA 2024 will also take place in Bengaluru. Although we have not officially announced it, you are the first media source to know. We have several fantastic options in Bengaluru, but we haven’t decided yet.”
Although the organisers haven’t provided many specifics regarding HICSA 2024, the oblique references indicate that the Food and Beverage (F&B) sector will receive a lot of attention. Attendees can anticipate thought-provoking workshops and captivating speakers who will delve into the most recent trends and advancements in the F&B sector, while the details are still being worked out.
HICSA is well known for offering a totally immersive experience in addition to conventional meetings and sessions. For the 19th edition of HICSA in 2024, the Hotelivate team is devoted to creating a special and unforgettable experience. The team wants to return some of the enjoyable events while also adding new and original concepts to keep participants engaged and enthusiastic during the conference. This will build on the success of this year’s experiences, such as the well-liked Golf Round and lunch session.
“HICSA experiences this year were clearly a winner. We will repeat some of them (Golf) and have some new fresh ideas for more innovative stuff. We have realised that if you have to be successful and create excitement at a conference you need to keep innovating and we will do just that in 2024,” Thadani concluded.
