An IATO delegation of three senior Office Bearers i.e. Mr. Rajiv Mehra, President, Mr. Ravi Gosain – Vice President and Mr. Sanjay Razdan – Hony. Secretary, called on Shri Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, the new Cabinet Minister of Tourism, Govt. of India and met him in his office yesterday for a courtesy call and to congratulate him on taking over the charge in the Cabinet as Tourism Minister of India
Hon’ble Tourism Minister was very receptive and expressed his keen interest to know the reasons for drop in international tourist arrivals and offered all the support from the Ministry of Tourism, which could help in the growth of inbound tourism to India.
IATO will have another meeting with the Hon’ble Tourism Minister to discuss in details, the issues which the tourism industry is facing in terms of inbound tourism and will share our ideas how Ministry of Tourism and other Ministries could support the tourism industry.
We are sure, under the dynamic leadership of the new Tourism Minister, inbound tourism to India will flourish and we will see significant growth in international tourist arrivals to our country and we fulfill dreams of our Hon’ble Prime Minister to get maximum foreign tourists to India for which IATO has assured its’ full support to the Government and to our Ministry.
