The Indian Association of Tour Operators (IATO) will hold the EC members’ elections on the 18th of April. A special meeting was called on the 18th of March at the IATO office to scrutinize the withdrawal nominations for the forthcoming elections.
The withdrawals received were, Ravi Gosain, Erco Travels Pvt. Ltd. for the post of Senior Vice President; Sanjay Razdan, Razdan Holidays for the post of Vice President; Rajnish Kaistha, Paradise Holidays India Pvt. Ltd. for the post of Hony. Secretary. Post the withdrawals the final list of contestants was released, for which elections will be held.
For the very first time in the history of IATO elections, six office bearers were elected unopposed which include President, Rajiv Mehra – Uday Tours & Travels Pvt. Ltd., Sr. Vice President, Rajnish Kaistha – Paradise Holidays India Pvt. Ltd., Vice President, Ravi Gosain, Erco Travels Pvt. Ltd., Hony. Secretary, Sanjay Razdan, Razdan Holidays, Hony. Treasurer, Sunil Mishra – Cosmos Tours & Travels, and Hony. Joint Secretary, Viney Tyagi – Uni Crystal Holidays Pvt. Ltd.
The members contesting elections for active EC members are Kamlesh Hemchand Lalan, Ravine Trek, Arun Anand, Midtown Travels Pvt. Ltd., E.M. Najeeb, Air Travel Enterprises (I) Pvt. Ltd., Tony Marwah, Indian Travel Promotion Company Pvt. Ltd., Deepak Bhatnagar, Aamantaran Travel Company Pvt. Ltd., Harish Mathur, Concord Travels & Tours, Manoj Kumar Matta, Oriental Vacations & Journeys Pvt. Ltd., Rajesh Mudgill – Planet India Travels Pvt. Ltd out of which 5 will be elected as EC active members. Similarly, the contestants for allied EC members are Ashok Dhoot – Harsh Travels, Zia Siddiqui – Alliance Hotels & Resorts, P. Vijayasarathy – Benchmark Hotels Pvt. Ltd., Parul Shailendra Kesari, Safari Plus out of which 3 will take the place as allied EC members.
The association is all set to kick-start another tenure of productive management with people adding value to the organisation.
