According to Dubai’s Department of Economy and Tourism (DET), 6.12 lakh Indian tourists visited Dubai during the January-March quarter of this year, a significant increase of 62.76 per cent over the same time the previous year.
According to the most recent information provided by DET, the Middle Eastern nation received 3.76 lakh tourists from India during the equivalent quarter in 2022.
Overall, Dubai received 46.7 lakh foreign overnight visitors in the first quarter of 2023, up from 39.7 lakh visitors in the same period of 2022, representing a YoY rise of 17 per cent.
Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai, stated: “The remarkable growth in international visitation achieved in the first quarter of 2023 demonstrates the city’s emergence as one of the key destinations leading the way in the rebound of the global tourism sector.”
The Dubai Economic Agenda, he claimed, lays out an ambitious new course for Dubai to strengthen its contributions to determining the direction of the world economy.
