MTPA Chairman meets Indian Travel delegation to explore tourism opportunities

In order to highlight the best of Mauritius, Vistara organises a FAM for well-known Indian travel agents and media. Vistara has made it easier for travellers to travel to Africa through its convenient connection as the airline has recently launched flights from Mumbai, creating a whole new array of travel opportunities for travel enthusiasts.  Mauritius has been promoting tourism in different parts of the world. India is one of their biggest source markets, which is a win-win situation for both countries. The Indian travel delegation had the opportunity to meet the Chairman of The Mauritius Tourism Promotion Authority (MTPA).

The Indian travel delegation met Donald E Payen, Chairman, MTPA to discuss the various promotional opportunities. He spoke to the delegation about the new developments while focusing on the collaboration between Mauritius and India. He also enlightened the eminent people of the delegation on the ongoing trends enveloping the beautiful country and the steps that can be taken to grow tourism. India is a big market for them and they plan to open their arms to the Indian market and welcome tourists in full swing.

The delegation included Riaz Munshi, President, OTOAI, Himanshu Patil, Shravan Bhalla and Monia Kapoor amongst others. Payal Mehta, Regional Manager Sales – North India, Vistara, shares her thoughts on arranging the FAM to Mauritius and talks about the newly launched flights and how they decided to indulge prominent travel agents on this beautiful excursion through Mauritius.
