Visit Hungary hosts networking evening for Indian Travel Trade, Conducts Two-CitySales Mission

Visit Hungary, the international brand of the Hungarian National Tourism Authority,recently organised a successful networking evening in New Delhi for top Indian travel agents and tour operators.

The event, held at the Embassy of Hungary, aimed to strengthen ties with the Indian travel trade andwelcomed 70 guests from across the luxury, leisure, and MICE sectors. H.E. Mr. István Szabó,Ambassador of Hungary to India, addressed the gathering.

The event began with a welcome address by Lubaina Sheerazi, CEO and co-founder of BRANDit,which set the stage for an engaging networking session. Ivan Ljubinkovic, Regional Head of BusinessDevelopment-India, Visit Hungary, provided a detailed overview of the diverse opportunities thecountry offers to Indians across leisure, MICE, celebrations, and destination weddings. He alsoemphasized Hungary’s ability to meet the growing and varied demands of the Indian market.

Presentations by key Hungarian partners, including Marriott International, Kempinski Hotels, DunaCruises, Corinthia Hotels, Lotus Voyagers Group, MIKI Travel, Up Hotel Budapest, and Dúzsi TamásFamily Winery showcased the wide-ranging experiences, reinforcing its potential as a premierdestination for Indian tourists.

The evening concluded with a networking dinner, providing participants with the opportunity toexplore collaborations and discuss strategies for promoting Hungary as a leading travel destination.

In addition to the networking event, the Visit Hungary delegation conducted a successful two-city salesmission, meeting with key agents, MICE operators, Delhi Airport Authority, Indian carriers, corporateand OTAs in Mumbai and Delhi. These efforts further solidified the groundwork laid over the past year.

With Indian tourism to Hungary on the rise, the event effectively positioned Hungary as a top choicefor Indian travellers, boosting awareness and driving demand for visits to Budapest and beyond.
