IRCTC the premier hospitality and tourism company of the country is all set to open a new world-class Executive Lounge at New Delhi Railway Station for offering an enhanced travel experience to the rail passengers.
The new Executive lounge has been set up on first floor of Platform No.1 of New Delhi Railway Station towards Paharganj side. This is the second executive lounge that will be dedicated to the service of the nation by the company after the first executive lounge that has been already in operation since 2016 on ground and mezzanine floor at Platform No. 16. IRCTC is already operating executive lounges at railway stations at Agra, Jaipur, Sealdah, Ahmedabad and Madurai.
The new state-of-art executive lounge at New Delhi Railway aims to provide all services and facilities required for comfortable wait for the passengers during pre-departures and post arrivals. The lounge has been designed on the looks of airport lounges with much more space and serene environment. A new capsule elevator has been installed for facilitating the entry of the passengers to the executive lounge at platform No.1.
The new executive lounge will be offering the visitors with a wide range of complimentary and paid services such as channel music, wi-fi internet connection, TV, train information display, hot and soft beverages, multi-cuisine buffets, recliners, spacious luggage racks, restrooms with wash and change facilities, show shiners, newspapers and magazines on display and a fully operational business centre with computer, printer, Photostat and fax facility.
IRCTC is offering access to the passengers to the newly commissioned executive lounge with a nominal entry charges of Rs 150/- plus taxes for an hour and Rs 99/- for each extra hour of stay. The lounge will be operational 24×7 and the entry charges will include a host of services such as comfortable seating facilities, Wi-Fi internet facility, retailing of books & magazines, complimentary tea/coffee/beverages, in a fully air-conditioned premise with channel music and live TV channels.
With the aim of offering clean and hygienic wash and change experience to the visitors before and after journey separate bath facilities for ladies and gents will be made available to the visitors at a nominal charge of Rs. 200/- +taxes with high quality toiletries including laundered towels, soap, shampoo, shower caps and dental kit.
IRCTC will be also offering sumptuous vegetarian and non-vegetarian meals in the form of exclusive Buffets ranging at attractive prices of Rs. 250/- to Rs. 385/- each per person as per the time of the day. The bouquet of other paid services includes use of business centre and massage chair facilities.
IRCTC is also offering all inclusive package for the passengers for use of executive lounge at very nominal charges of Rs. 600/- +taxes including 2 hours stay, wash and change and one buffet meal.
IRCTC also plans to set up a travel desk and a gift shop at the executive lounge for the visitors.
