Kanger Valley National Park, a biodiversity hotspot in Chhattisgarh’s Bastar region, has been officially included in UNESCO’s World Heritage Tentative List. Renowned for its stunning natural landscapes, including high mountains, deep valleys, and diverse flora and fauna, the park’s management submitted a proposal to the Archaeological Survey Department, Government of India, highlighting its fulfillment of UNESCO’s 10 criteria for heritage recognition. This milestone reinforces the park’s significance in global conservation efforts and showcases its breathtaking attractions, such as the ethereal Tirathgarh Waterfalls, also known as the “Milky Fall.”
