Sentosa, the top island resort retreat in Singapore and Asia, is getting ready to introduce a wide range of leisure options to ardent Indian travellers. In order to maintain Sentosa as the top choice of destination for all Indian visitors to Singapore, Chin Sak Hin, Assistant Chief Executive of Sentosa Development Corporation (SDC), visited during the unveiling of the new developments.
Nearly a third of international visitors to Sentosa Island in the first half of 2023 will come from India, which is now one of the top source markets for Sentosa. SDC has signed one-year strategic collaborations with Thomas Cook (India) Limited, India’s top omnichannel travel services provider, to take advantage of this tremendous development potential.
The Memorandum of Understanding intends to strengthen the bonds between SDC, Thomas Cook, and SOTC, promote the variety of discoveries to be made in Sentosa, and maintain Sentosa’s status as a popular travel destination. As part of the partnership, SDC will collaborate closely with Thomas Cook and SOTC on projects like product development, joint consumer promotions, and publicity to increase Sentosa’s profile in the India market, boost the island’s market share in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities, and boost visitor numbers and spending on Sentosa Island. The newest offerings in Sentosa will be included in exclusive packages that Thomas Cook and SOTC will both curate.
The agreement is a savvy and opportune effort to improve Sentosa’s brand image among Indian tourists, especially given that the island resort earlier this year rebranded itself as an island of rewarding experiences where discovery never ends. The new brand promise offers possibilities and instances that let visitors experience Sentosa from a fresh perspective.
