As a passionate and creative professional, Shama brings valuable experience in public relations, media engagement, and project management to her role at Sun Siyam Iru Veli. In this position, she will play an integral part in supporting the development and execution of impactful communication strategies, focusing on storytelling and media relations. Shama will assist in enhancing the resort’s global profile by crafting engaging narratives and facilitating strong connections with both local and international media, contributing to the overall visibility and engagement of Sun Siyam Iru Veli.
Shama’s career began as a PR and Media Officer for the Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation, where she honed her skills in strategic communication and stakeholder engagement. She then entered the tourism sector, working with Pulse Hotels & Resorts as a Marketing and Communication Executive, and then in Villa Group before joining Sun Siyam Iru Veli. Holding a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Communication, Shama has a natural flair for crafting compelling narratives that resonate with both local and global audiences.
As a Maldivian national, her deep-rooted passion for Maldivian culture and heritage aligns perfectly with Sun Siyam Iru Veli’s commitment to showcasing the Maldives’ unique offerings.
