The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) has unveiled its strategy plan until 2024, which calls for maintaining high standards for sustainable tourism while utilising Thai soft power to advance high-quality travel to Thailand.
“2024 will be the year of accelerating resilience,” TAT Governor Yuthasak Supasorn declared. “Thailand’s tourism will change into a High Value and Sustainable Tourism that prioritises elevating and moving forward to a better tourism environment. To create a new ecosystem, we need to stop relying so heavily on the number of visitors and instead put more effort into boosting spending by visitors, luring high-quality visitors, expanding the supply chain with our partners, and sharing profits fairly with the surrounding areas. We must strike a balance between social justice and economic prosperity.
TAT is dedicated to constructing tourism security with long-term immunity to improve the nation’s tourism industry and enable it to continue growing in the face of the current global economic crisis.
