The Tourism Authority of Thailand has announced a game-changing extension to its visa-free entry policy for Indian tourists, now allowing stays of up to 60 days with no end date for the policy in sight. This decision reinforces Thailand’s commitment to strengthening its tourism ties with India and boosting arrivals to its picturesque beaches, cultural landmarks, and vibrant cities.
Under this updated policy, Indian travelers can enjoy seamless entry without the need for prior visa applications, making Thailand an ideal choice for spontaneous getaways, family holidays, and destination weddings. The 60-day stay also comes with an option for a 30-day extension, giving tourists the flexibility to extend their travel experience to 90 days.
“We are thrilled to open Thailand’s doors wider to Indian tourists,” said a representative from the Tourism Authority of Thailand. “With this simplified entry, we aim to foster even greater cultural exchange and tourism growth between our nations.”
From January to mid-October 2024, nearly 16.17 million Indian tourists visited Thailand, contributing significantly to the country’s tourism industry. This indefinite extension aims to make travel more convenient and accessible for all Indian visitors, strengthening Thailand’s appeal as a preferred destination in Southeast Asia.
