Badal Patralekh, the state agriculture minister, began this year’s two-month-long Shravani Mela by praying at the Baba Baidyanathdham shrine in Deoghar on the occasion of “Ashadha Purnima.”
According to Mr Badal, the Shravani Mela, which lasts for two months, has eight Mondays this year. The State government has put in place the necessary provisions for Kanwariyas to carry out Baba Baidyanath’s Jal Abhishek puja.
The district government, according to Deputy Commissioner Deoghar Manjunath Bhajantri, is prepared for the two-month Shravani Mela.
The Shravani Mela is taking place from July 3 through September 7. At Kanwariya holding locations, a health camp has been established and security procedures have been stepped up. There are 12 Jyotirlingas in the nation, one of which is the Baba Baidyanathdham Temple.
