Trafalgar continues to curate new experiences to encourage guests to experience destinations authentically.
Over the past 75 years, Trafalgar has welcomed over 5 million guests on award-winning vacations. As the brand celebrates this milestone, they continue to innovate and expand through new destinations, new ways to travel, and new experiences to meet the needs of today’s travelers. This includes new Active & Hiking tours in the USA for guests looking for a higher level of physical activity as they explore, and more Culture & Heritage focused holidays to provide guests with immersive explorations of indigenous and African American history past and present.
Mae Cheah, Managing Director Asia, TTC Tour Brands, said: “We’re seeing a rise in interest from Asia- based travelers who want to plan in-depth tours of the USA and Europe. After being deprived of exploration for several years, travelers are looking to be fully immersed in the culture of each destination they visit. A nice hotel simply does not cut it anymore. Our guests are looking to be challenged and excited.”
Active & Hiking tours:
Trafalgar’s exhilarating Active & Hiking itineraries combine adventure and fitness for the ultimate adrenaline-fueled trip. Guests will embrace the wonders of the great outdoors, with endless hiking trails and opportunities for rock climbing, rafting, and mountain climbing through some of the USA’s most iconic locations. A key highlight is Trafalgar’s 11-day Colorado Active Adventure, offering access to some of America’s most epic natural landscapes. The spectacular trip incorporates hiking at Mesa Verde, a UNESCO-listed site, and cider tasting at Talbott’s Cider Company.
Culture & Heritage trips:
Connecting travelers with Indigenous experiences and African American history, Trafalgar’s Culture & Heritage trips use food, art and stories as vehicles to immerse guests in the history of the USA. The Trafalgar team work directly with underrepresented communities to curate these itineraries, ensuring that their stories and personal perspectives on the past are heard. On a 9-day excursion from Memphis to Atlanta, the Journey Along the Civil Rights Trail incorporates moving, first-hand accounts of the Civil Rights Movement, with musicality a key component of the stories told. An afternoon with the Carlton Reese Choir will shed light on the importance of song in the African American community, whilst an exclusive, after-hour experience at the Stax Museum of American Soul pays tribute to American soul legends.
In addition to expanding its portfolio of trips and destinations, Trafalgar continues to evolve and expand its signature experiences guests and agent partners have grown to know and love like Be My Guest experiences; original local travel experiences, which enable guests to get an insider look at different cultures and customs through meeting, dining and conversing with local hosts. As part of the National Parks and Native Trails of the Dakotas itinerary, guests will spend time with Marla C. Bull Bear, a member of Rosebud Sioux Tribe, for storytelling, singing, dance, and local flavors.
Over 100 ‘Be My Guest’ experiences are currently offered across Trafalgar itineraries.
Of the milestone, CEO, Mr. Gavin Tollman, said: “As we mark 75 years, we’ve never been more excited for the next chapter as we continue to innovate and redefine exceptional travel, just as we always have, particularly the positive impact we can make across the destinations we are so lucky to have the privilege to visit. Guests are at the heart of everything we do, and we are proud to offer Simply the Best way for travelers from around the world to experience the joy of travel, without worry or stress through seven decades of perfecting the art of what we do”. He concluded.
